| SHOEB AHMAD Vinyl Sketches sound&fury, 3" CD-R |
| Vinyl Sketches is Shoeb Ahmad's sound&fury debut: a 3" CD-R of piano miniatures crafted during a single afternoon in 2006. Ahmad throws lonesome, singular notes against a wall of digital effects before assembling the resultant shards into fragmentary, fluttering vignettes. Limited to 100 copies, packaged in mini wax-sealed envelopes and including hand-numbered screen-printed inserts. LAST COPIES! |
| AJILVSGA The White Feathered Stem sound&fury, CD-R |
| Ever since we first started S&F back in 2005 (was it really that long ago?), we've been wanting to release some of Brad Rose's music. Besides being the figurehead of the Digitalis mini-empire, he's recorded an astonishing array of solo and collaborative records with projects like The North Sea, Corsican Paintbrush, Alligator Crystal Moth, The Golden Oaks and many more. Ajilvsga is one of his more recent ventures, being a collaboration with fellow Oklahoman Nathan Young. These are deep, desolate drones, excavated from the scorched soil of Green Country. A highlight of the label's catalogue, to be sure. |
| ALPS Alps of New South Wales sound&fury, LP |
| Our first foray into the wonderful world of vinyl, Alps of New South Wales is the full-length debut from Novocastrian Chris Hearn. A collection of fragile bedsit pop tunes crafted from organ, Casio, and Hearn's at times awkward voice. Hearn actively embraces the limitations imposed by his DIY approach, turning the lo-fi buzz of cheap recording equipment into an instrument of its own. Packaged in hand-silkscreened foldover covers, Alps of New South Wales is limited to just 300 hand-numbered copies. And, for a limited time, all orders will include a copy of the album on CD absolutely free. Because that's how we roll. |
| ANONYMEYE The Disambiguation of Anonymeye sound&fury, CD |
| Second album from Andrew Tuttle, aka Anonymeye. Though still peppered with his rustic steel-string guitar, The Disambiguation of Anonymeye sees Tuttle experimenting with analogue synths, creating a multifacteted listening experience of deep, dense drones and shimmering overtones. For a limited time, orders from this website come with a bonus 3" CD-R entitled De Jure Recognition, featuring four exclusive new Anonymeye tracks (including collaborations with ii and Marisa Allen). |
| ANONYMEYE Phase Two sound&fury, 3" CD-R |
| Phase Two features a single 17-minute improvisation for acoustic guitar and electronics, performed by Brisbane wunderkind Andrew Tuttle. As Tuttle's fingertips hop nimbly across the fretboard, a layer of crackling, responsive feedback builds up, eventually consuming the looped Middle Eastern motif that forms the track's core. While the guitars suggest John Fahey or Hush Arbors, the beds of noise upon which they sit nod to Fennesz and Tim Hecker, expert harnessers of static's grainly rumbles. Limited to 100 hand-numbered copies (most oif which are now sold out), packaged in little waz-sealed envelopes and featuring transparent insert art by Miyuki Jokiranta. LAST COPIES! |
| AXEL ROSIE O'DONNELL Axel Rosie O'Donnell No Label, CD-R |

| Nic from Onani, Circle Pit, et al and his buddy Joe serve up some awesome lo-fi psych/noise-rock. |
| AUSTIN BENJAMIN TRIO Amalgama helloQuare, CD |
| The debut album for this young jazz trio from Canberra, Australia featuring Evan Dorrian of Spartak fame. Full of group interplay and beautiful melodies, Amalgama is nine pieces of modern jazz that explore moods and textures inspired by nature. For fans of Bill Evans, Band Of Five Names and Uri Caine alike. |
| BLARKE BAYER Meniere's Disease sound&fury, CD-R |
| Blarke Bayer is Ben Andrews, best known as the wiry guitarist with hyper-minimal Melbourne trio My Disco. While there's none of that group's angular scree on this live set, Andrews's precision-controlled mixture feedback and sinewaves explores similarly atonal territory to My Disco's earlier work. A live recording from mid-2006, Meniere's Disease starts off quite harsh and abrasive before slowly morphing into a blissful, almost ambient finale. 100 copies only, hand-packaged in the usual S&F way. |
| BLEAKWOOD Bleakwood An Out Recordings, CD-R |
| It's not only Scandinavia and the US that produces iconoclastic black metal misanthropes. Bleakwood is the solo project from Sydney's D.Nahum, member of Ironwood and Sword Toward Self. This is his debut release: three tracks of ice-cold Burzumic buzz, packaged in elaborate hand-made covers and limited to a mere 100 copies (of which we have some of the last). |
| CANYONS! Trapdoor/Diamonds hellosQuare, 3" CD-R |
| Debut release from Canyons!, the solo guise of Function alumnus (and former Tweezer member) Milo, who has previously contributed tracks to compilations on hellosQuare and 267 Lattajjaa Trapdoor/Diamonds is collects pools of sound and drifting movement, rich with texture and ambience. |
| MIKE COOPER Keoni hellosQuare, 3" CD-R |
| A live improvisation for lap-steel and electronics by the legendary Mike Cooper. Starting off as a blues guitarist in England back in the 60's, his work from then onwards has taken in everything from electronic sound to lounge and hawaiian musics. Recorded in Italy, Keoni irackles and hisses along with guitar loops weaving in and out. |
